THE friends of the late John Anstis are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, which will leave his late residence, Lower Hutt, on Saturday, the 20th October, at 2.30 p.m.

Ninety Years of Age.
Mrs. Charlotte Anstis, of Petone, reached the age of ninety years yesterday. A small gathering was held at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. L. Wilkie, Lower Hutt, to celebrate the occasion. Mrs. Anstis received many messages of congratulation and good wishes. She was born in the parish of Cripplegate, London, in 1843, and made the voyage out to New Zealand by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1873. Since then she has never left the Dominion, and has spent almost all her life in the Hutt Valley. She resides with her daughter, Mrs. G. Bowles, Queen street, Petone, and another daughter is Mrs. W. Wolland, Lowry Bay.

MRS. C. ANSTIS
Mrs. Charlotte Anstis died last Saturday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. G. Bowles, 43 Queen Street, Petone, at the age of 96.
Born in the parish of Cripplegate, London, Mrs. Anstis came to New Zealand in the Duke of Edinburgh in 1873, since when she had resided practically continuously in the Hutt Valley, where she was held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends. Her husband predeceased her 44 years ago, and she is survived by one son, Mr. E. J. Anstis (Lower Hutt) and three daughters, Mrs. W. Wolland (Petone), Mrs. L. Wilkie (Lower Hutt), and Mrs. G. Bowles (Petone).
