At the Presbyterian Church, Lower Hutt, Miss Ethel England, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert England, of Brunswick-street, Lower Hutt, was married to Mr. Hector Hall, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Hall, Rata-road, Taita. The Rev. James McCaw performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory silk, with pearl trimmings, and her veil was worn in mob cap style over orange blossoms, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of sweet peas, roses, stephanotis, and maiden hair fern, with white streamers, which was presented to her by Miss Cooper. The bridesmaids were Misses Gladys and Doris Hall sisters of the bridegroom, the former wearing champagne voile, and the latter mauve voile, with hats to match, and both carried shower bouquets of sweet peas, roses, and maiden hair fern, with pink streamera. Mr. James Cameron was the best man, and Mr. Jack Peck the groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was given at the Epuni Schoolroom, where Mrs. England entertained a large number of guests from far and near. Later on in the day Mr. and Mrs. Hector Hall left for their wedding tour, the bride travelling in a navy costume, which was worn with an apricot-coloured tagel hat, with mauve trimmings.
