Swain, Fanny
Evening Post 4 July 1916
SWAIN.- In loving memory of our dear father, Joseph Swain, who passed away on the 4th July, 1915.
Sleep on, dear father, thy labour''s oér,
Thy willing hands shall toil no more;
On earth there''s strife, in heaven there''s rest,
We miss thee most who loved thee best.
-
Gone and forgotten by some you may be,
But dear to our memory you ever shall be.
Inserted by his loving daughter Molly, and son-in-law, G. Perry.
-
SWAIN.- In sad and loving memory of my dear husband, Joseph Swain, who passed away on the 4th July, 1915.
Death came stealing o''er his pillow
At the starting of the day;
Without a sigh, without a murmur,
My loving husband passed away.
-
I often sit and think of him
When I am all alone;
For memory is the only friend
That grief can call its own.
Inserted by his sorrowing wife, A. Swain.
-
SWAIN.- In loving memory of my dear brother, Joseph Swain, who died on the 4th July, 1915.
It''s just one year ago to-day
Since my dear brother passed away;
But in heaven we will meet him,
Jesus doeth all things well.
Inserted by his loving sister Fanny.
-
SWAIN.- In loving memory of Joseph Swain, who died on the 4th July, 1915.
Calmly sleeps my dear brother,
Pain no more will mark his brow;
All your cares and trials over,
You are happy, resting now.
Inserted by his sister, Mrs. W. Pilcher
