Obituary
The death of Mrs. Annie Rudman, at the age of 84 years, occurred last week at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Cowdrey, Island Bay. The late Mrs. Rudman was born in England, and 71 years ago came, with her parents, in the sailing ship Alma to Wellington, where she resided ever since. Her father, Mr. David Robertson, was resident caretaker of the Sydney street Cemetery until his death in 1887. She took an active part in work for the Salvation Army in Wellington during the past 46 years, and had the distinction of being No. 1 on the Salvation Army Roll Call of the City Corps. Her husband, Mr. Henry Rudman, died twelve years ago, and she is survived by four sons — Messrs. W. H., F. J., R. E., and G. Rudman (all of Wellington), and three daughters, Mesdames J. Lerwill, W. Horn, and J. H. Cowdrey. There are 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
