Last evening Mr C. E. Luxford had on view at his butchering establishment, Manners
street, one of the largest and fattest bullocks that has ever been shown in
Wellington. Our readers will remember the huge monster which was shown at the same place last Christmas, but this far surpasses that one both in size and
quality. The fat covering the ribs was in some places nearly a foot thick, and the
weight was over 17001b. It was bred at the Taita by Isaiah the native chief residing there.
