HILL.- October 4, at the residence of J. Sherratt, Chapel street, Greymouth, Charles James, eldest son of the late Isaac Mason Hill, in his 46th year.

The friends of Mr J. C. Hill, fancy printer, Chapel street, will regret to learn that he passed away calmly yesterday morning after a comparatively short illness. The poor fellow worked as long as nature would sustain him, longer, perhaps, than he should have done. He appears to have been suffering from a complication of complaints. He was a most estimable member of society, an excellent printer, and respected by all who knew him. Deceased leaves one daughter to mourn his loss. Mrs Hill (deceased''s mother) arrived last night.
