The marriage took place recently at the Catholic Church, Makara, of Miss Olive Gaskin, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Gaskin, to Mr. Henry Ernest Fearn, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Fearn, Karori road, Wellington. The Rev. Father Spillane officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, wore ivory crepe de chine embroidered with lace and silver trimmings, and the usual veil and wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom''s father. Miss G. Finn, niece of the bride, was chief bridesmaid, wearing a pretty frock of lemon crepe de chine and carrying a bouquet also the gift of the bridegroom''s father. Little Joyce Fearn, niece of the bride, was flower girl, in dainty white silk. Both received gold brooches from the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended Mr. H. Gaskin. The church had been prettily decorated by cousins of the bride. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride''s brother. Mr. and Mrs. Fearn left later in the evening by motor en route for Dannevirke. The bride travelled in a navy-blue tailored costume, and wore a pretty brown hat.
