A wedding of interest to Dunedin, especially in University circles, took place at St. Peter''s. Church, Wellington, recently, when Marie Payne Stringer, M.B., Ch.B., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Stringer, was married to Arthur William Buchler, LL.M., elder son of Mrs Buchler and the late Mr. A. 0. Buchler, Dunedin. The Ven. Archdeacon A. L. Hansell performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a close fitting model gown of angel-skin lace embroidered in opal beads and silver sequins. Her veil of Brussels net was held closely to the head with a pearl head band and clusters of orange-blossom, and she carried a sheaf of blue delphiniums with long blue ribbons. Dr. Beryl Bowden attended the bride, wearing a becoming gown of powder blue georgette, with a picture hat of pink straw, which toned in with her sheaf of lovely pink roses.
Mr. W. E. Wilson was best man.
A reception was held in the T. and G. Buildings, where intimate friends of both families were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stringer. Mrs. Stringer, who received the guests, wore a model gown of floral crepe de chene, and carried a bouquet of pansies and hydrangeas to tone. She was assisted, by Mrs Buchler, mother of the bridegroom, who was attired in a navy silk ensemble, completed by a bouquet of pink and blue flowers.
Many congratulatory telegrams and messages were received by tho young couple, who later left by car for a tour of the North Island. Their future home will be in Dunedin.

In lieu of floral tributes, donations to Hungarian Relief Fund. Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at St. James''s Church, Woburn Rd., Lower Hutt, at 10am, on Saturday, Dec. 15, 1956, thereafter at Christ Church Cemetery, Taita. Gee and Hickton, Ltd., Lower Hutt and Petone.
