OBITUARY.
Jane Sanders.
An old and highly respected resident of Taita passed away last week at the age of 71 years, in the person of Mrs. Jane Sanders, after a long illness. The late Mrs Sanders was of a quiet and unassuming nature and enjoyed the confidence of her many friends. Her husband predeceased her some four years ago. She was a devoted mother and leaves a family of three daughters Mrs E. Bentley (Taita), Mrs. Gadsby, (Petone), and Mrs Johnson (Auckland), and five sons Messrs Frederick (Hamilton), Harry (Petone), Frank (Wellington), Len and Edward (Taita). The interment took place at the Anglican Cemetery when a large crowd of friends attended.

The wedding took place on Easter Monday, at St. Peter''s Church, of Miss Phyllis Jacka, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Jacka, Webb-street, to Mr. Frank Sanders, third son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Sanders, Taita, Lower Hutt. The. bride, who was given away by her father, wore a draped gown of rich embossed ivory silk, finished with a silver tissue sash train. Her veil was hung from a dainty silver lace Dutch cap. She carried an early Victorian bouquet of roses and orchids, with streamers to match. The bride was attended by her only sister, Miss Rita Jacka, who wore a pannier frock of shell pink taffeta, with large tulle hat of the same tone. Mr. J. H. Pye-Smith was best man, while Mr. D. Scott was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride''s parents. Later Mr. and Mrs. Sanders left for the North, the bride wearing a nigger brown orepa de chine, with inserted panels of gold brocade and hat to match.
