Evening Post 18 November 1916
An outbreak of fire occurred in Buick-street, Petone, yesterday, in a detached shed at the rear of the premises owned by Mr. G. Hooper and occupied by Mr. B. Fox. The Fire Brigade was quickly on the scene, and with the assistant of the inmates of the premises the fire was soon extinguished without the use of the brigade''s appliances. The shed''s, contents were damaged to the extent of about £10. on which there was no insurance. The building was not materially damaged and it is not known if the shed was insured or not.
