FOUND DEAD.
SUDDEN DEATH, RIVERHEAD.
Mr Woolley, manager of a flaxmill at Riverhead, was found dead in his room about noon yesterday. Constable Foreman was informed of the occurrence, and upon proceeding there he found the body in a room at Lamb''s old mill. Deceased has a wife, who resides at Takapuna.
Mr James Donaldson, who discovered the body, states "I am in charge of the men at the Riverhead Flaxmill, and deceased was manager. I last saw him alive about 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, at the mill. He then appeared all right. As far as I knew deceased had not been ill. Mr Woolley had a bunk at the old mill. At 8 a.m. yesterday morning I went to his room, and seeing that he was lying down I did not disturb him. About 10.45 a.m. I again went with letters, but on calling I got no answer. Upon going to him I found he was dead. He was then lying on the floor alongside the bunk, and had his boots and socks off. Deceased was 48 years of age.
